Dear colleagues and friends from Uzbekistan and Germany,

It is our pleasure to welcome you to the „Second German-Uzbek Health Forum“ in Berlin.

The fact that we meet in less than one year´s time after the first and highly successful conference of this series was held in Samarkand in May, 2023, testifies to the immense interest of the medical communities in cooperation in all fields of medicine in both Germany and Uzbekistan, birthplace of Ibn Sinha (Avicenna, 980 – 1027 a.D.), one of the greatests minds in medicine.

The topics of this meeting include oncology, emergency medicine, and nursing and have been selected according the priorities seen by our Uzbek partners.

It is expected that many joint projects will result from this conference which will develop into a network of cooperating partners for many years into the future to the benefit of both our countries.

We thank the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the German Federal Ministry of Health as well as the respective embassies in Tashkent and Berlin and German Health Alliance (GHA) and German Eastern Business Association (Ost-Ausschuss) for their organizational support and cooperation.
